UPS and critical infrastructure, visible on one screen

Otiumtek Iris consolidates SNMP monitoring of a UPS estate: clear statuses on an operations TV instead of a maze of browser tabs.

The challenge

When every UPS lives in its own tab

In a financial-services environment, a large set of UPS units needs continuous supervision. Operations depended on loose interfaces — one source per window — without a shared overview for whoever is on shift.

  • Multiple UPS units without a consolidated status view
  • Each system in a different interface — more cognitive load, more room for error
  • Hard to prioritize what failed and who should act

Our work

Iris as the operational monitoring layer

Otiumtek deployed Iris to observe infrastructure over SNMP and present information on a dashboard built for the operations room.

SNMP observability

Polling and inventory over UPS units and critical infrastructure — statuses readable for operations, not only for engineering.

Central screen

Current state

A consolidated view for the shift

The team can follow the UPS estate from Iris on a central screen, with SNMP statuses and alerts, without relying on a maze of browsers.

  • Consolidated monitoring instead of isolated interfaces
  • Dashboard oriented to shift operations
  • Suite product: Otiumtek Iris

How Iris looks in operation

Otiumtek Iris product screenshots. They do not necessarily match the exact screen installed at OCA.
